When I hear a little voice say pee or poop, I jump up, respond with a quick let's go! and run to the nearest bathroom or otherwise appropriate location.
Yes, my 2-year-old-in-7-days is potty training.
Tonight was no different. I got up twice for pee, once for a poop false alarm. Then I heard poop again, but rising to the occasion I saw a child already without underwear, a scary picture.
Though we ran to the bathroom, rather than needing to poop, PB was showing off the one she had already done. By herself. In the big potty.
**heart fills with joy**
PB's first solo poop. I feel like celebrating. Nice work, PB!

The joy of parenting
Today I had to manually tear apart a toddler poo so it would flush down the toilet. Never thought I'd have to do that.
**I did start this on time, yesterday, really. But computer freezes and slow internet delayed the posting of this until now. Another post, really meant for today, will come shortly.**

weekend update
I figure if I can at least wrap things up before beginning a new week, this blog will survive. though now that I've made this decision, I have nothing to say. nothing interesting at least.
although, little p shot poo at me yesterday, and again in the tub. both firsts for me. not bad, I think, considering she's my second child. glad I was able to laugh at it, too. during the poo in the tub, hd was in there, and kept repeating, "poop, poop, poop", and was very sad when she was removed from the scene. how I miss the days when poo was a fun and exciting experience.
hd is only going to daycare two days/week this month instead of three, so if pictures of clumps of my hair are all that show up here for a while, you know why.
